Set Your Goals

Being clear with your objectives for going back to work points you towards the right direction. Whether the reason is to pursue a career path or earn supplemental income, laying down your goals allows you to plan ahead of time. Keeping these goals in mind lets you stay on track as you run your course.

Make a list, note down the things you want to achieve by joining the work force. Re-entering workplace means having to deal with a number of concerns that should be part of the list. Knowing these makes it easier to choose which companies and positions to apply for, schedules that will work best for you, acceptable compensation, and so on. It may help to shortlist industries that promote work-life balance, allowing flexible time or even the possibility of working from your own home. It’s OK to hesitate; getting cold feet is quite understandable, especially when you’re wearing mommy shoes.

New Student Again

Make a change a positive experience. The move from one to another can be quite stressful, especially for your little one. Uprooting him from a place that he has grown to be comfortable in may cause some distress. But if you make it a natural positive change, then this won’t be as bad as you think. Not a bad idea, there are many things related to a change in home address that need careful thinking, one of which is your child’s schooling.

Transferring him to a new school is not a bad idea, even if it means he will have to adjust all over aging. Children are naturally resilient. They can bounce back after something different happens in their lives. Some may adapt to the change quickly; others may need a little more time. But as long as you are there to support him, he will surely be fine in his own time.
