The
Republic of Panamá is graced by many contrasts rarely
seen in the rest of the world. Our country has the modernity
and technology of the most developed nations, yet in less
than an hour you can go from the city deep into the tropical
rainforest. Our people are of many races, we are Black, we
are white, we are Chinese, we are Indian, we are indigenous,
we are mulatto, we are Chinese-mulatto, we are Black-indigenous,
we are mestizo, we are every sort of blend you could imagine.
With just one visit to our Panamá, we know you will
be spellbound by the magic of our culture. Our culture is
the product of the great projects man has undertaken here:
starting with the Conquest, then the Pacific, colonization,
gold fever, the railroad, the Canal, immigration, the jungle,
the indigenous, the Blacks, the whites: OUR RACE. The Panamanian
people, like the logo of ColónEnLinea.NET, are of many
colors and shades that join and blend in a magical place:
PANAMA.
Panamá awaits you to offer you what no other nation
can: cities, jungles, a canal... MAGIC.
ColónEnLinea.NET was created to promote tourism and
to provide the information the national and international
tourist needs to know about our province, our history, culture,
and the variety of commercial opportunities found here. We
also offer a forum for culture exchange among our different
ethnic groups.
As the tourist industry grows in the Republic of Panamá,
the province of Colón has the chance to introduce itself
to Panama and the world. Our province has a lot to offer:
tourism, business, commerce, education, the Panama Canal,
the railroad, the Atlantic beaches, and out greatest resource:
our people and their culture.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to create an on-line database of all that the
province of Colón has to offer and information of use
to tourists and other visitors. We also seek to create a virtual
community for the residents of Colón where they can
share their points of view regarding issues that affect our
community
